Schloss
Immendorf
in

Austria
for
safekeeping
where
it
were
destroyed
when
the
castle
was
burned
by
retreating
SS
troops
in
1945
.
Notes
The
Jurisprudence
study
is
a
preparatory
sketch
for the
final
figure
of
Jurisprudence
that
along
with
Medicine
and
Philosophy
was
intended
to
decorate
the
ceiling
of the
Great
Hall
of the
University
of
Vienna
,
all
of
which
were also
destroyed
at
Schloss
Immendorf
.
Klimt's
final
figure
departs
radically
from this
straightforward
personification.For
