Notes	City: London John Parker I and Edward Wakelin (working in partnership 1760-1776) Detail: Depicts one salver Marks: Fully marked on underside of each: maker's mark I.P over E.W, fleur de lis above (Grimwade 1602) date letter F for 1761/62 lion passant leopard's head Heraldry: The arms are those of Musgrave impaling Musgrave, for Joseph Musgrave, Esq., of Kypier and his wife Jane, eldest daughter of Sir Philip Musgrave, sixth Baronet, of Edenhall, county Cumberland Medium notes: Each shaped circular salver is raised, its rim hammered into a scalloped border, and a cast gadrooned-and-shell molding applied. The coat of arms is centrally engraved within an oval cartouche bordered by frilled shells and crossed branches. The border of the flat plate is engraved with representations of the four elements within scrolled cartouches, alternating with smaller cartouches engraved with vases of fruit, each linked by scrolled reserves of ribbing or diaperwork centered by a decorative device. Floral sprays are engraved beneath each fruit-filled cartouche and above some of the reserves. Three openwork feet composed of shells, scrolls, volutes, and overlapping scales are cast and applied to the rim, which is cut to accommodate them In: Beth Carver Wees.
